The Community Alcohol Partnerships (CAPs) scheme has announced the second year of its Innovation Fund.
Up and down the country, CAPs are developing ways to engage children and young people, helping them understand why an alcohol-free childhood is so important.
Building on the success of last year, its Innovation Fund is back for the second time, offering up to £5,000 in grant funding to support inspiring, creative projects that make a real impact. It says that tackling underage drinking and anti-social behaviour isn’t just about enforcement - it’s about engagement, positivity and community.
The fund offers active CAPs the opportunity to bring their best ideas to life - projects that support young people, reduce alcohol-related harm, and enhance community wellbeing.
Whether it’s a creative campaign, a youth-led initiative, new equipment or training, or something totally outside the box, it says it is looking for ideas that stand out, spark change and have the potential to inspire others.
Last year’s results saw street artwork on shops to video and song productions, to TikTok cooking campaigns. This year, it says it’s interested in projects that show “a strong partnership approach, are youth-driven or co-designed with young people, offer something new to your local area or can be shared as good practice with other CAPs.”
The deadline for applications is 1pm on Friday (20 June). To apply, visit the fund page here.
