Cadbury is turning up the cool this summer, with the launch of four limited-edition Dairy Milk Summer Edition bars and a new Iced Latte flavour.
Available from June, the packaging features four summer-themed designs, all reflective of a traditional British summer - think deck chairs, umbrellas, kites and inflatables. But in a twist, it uses thermochromic technology, to visually transform to reveal a deep blue colouring when the bars are chilled.
Retailers can purchase a mixed case containing all four designs, available across 110g non-pricemarked packs (PMPs), while the umbrella design is available in a 95g PMP. Eac has an image encouraging consumers to Chill to Reveal the unique design.
The Chill To Reveal launch is set reignite the popular debate around where to store chocolate as we head into summer and firmly positions it as a snacking option throughout the summer months.
To further tempt taste buds, the new Cadbury Dairy Milk Iced Latte flavour combines coffee cream with biscuit pieces. It’s described as a moreish chocolate-coffee crunch treat that “captures the refreshing essence of an iced latte wrapped in cold-activated packaging,” it says. The Iced Latte flavour is also available in both PMP and non-PMP packs.
Mara Popa, junior brand manager at Cadbury Dairy Milk, said: “Our new Summer Editions range reminds consumers that chocolate is a great snacking option in the warmer weather. Additionally, our limited Iced Latte tablet is designed to excite consumers with a brand new flavour crafted for summer.”
The Summer Editions launch will be supported by digital and in-store activations, asking consumers to Chill to Reveal.
