Biona has introduced a range of organic Greek olives to its portfolio.
The range features three types of Halkidiki Greek queen olives, each stuffed with garlic, pepper, or jalapenos. It also includes pitted Kalamta olives in brine.
All four products have an RRP of £3.69 and are “certified organic, with no artificial preservatives or additives”, said the food supplier.
The olives are naturally ripened on the tree and traditionally cured in water, sea salt, and organic vinegar. They are known for their “bold, tangy flavour and are a staple of authentic Mediterranean cuisine”.
The convenient pitted format makes them a good choice for platters, salads or a simple healthy snack, added Biona. They are “ideal for entertaining, snacking or antipasti platters”, it said.
“With a growing number of consumers now recognising the benefits of following a mediterranean-style diet, we are excited to bring this new range of Greek table olives to market, with their unique hand-stuffed combinations,” said Carmen Ferguson, brand manager at Biona’s parent company Windmill Organics.
“Made with the iconic premium Halkidiki and Kalamata olives, each of the four varieties showcases organic ingredients, no artificial preservatives, colourants or GMOs, but most importantly of all taste great, so will be popular with those consumers looking for a healthy snack, a salad ingredient or those entertaining guests.”
